Located in the Village of Columbiaville, Michigan.  The
funeral home was first established in 1909 by Fred Carl, who was
also the town jeweler.  The original business was located in a brick
building on  First Street where Dr. Chapin also maintained his
	business.

The business was later purchased in May of 1935 by Ray McPherson, who soon
moved the business to the former Dr. Conley residence in 1937, which is its
	current location today.
He built on an addition to the home prior to selling it to Herbert Reynolds
	in 1947.

Mr. Reynolds operated the funeral home and an ambulance
service until late 1963 when he returned to his home town
Lowell.  Ward Newton who owned and operated the
Baird-Newton Funeral Home in Lapeer purchased the
location at that time.  The funeral home continued to grow,
and about a decade later Mr. Newton added on the last of
the additions, which in all made the funeral home just shy
	of  its 6500SQ Ft.today.

In 2001, Dan and Dana Jansen purchased the funeral home, and
	changed its name to
Jansen Family Funeral Home.  As in most small towns they reside above
	the funeral home
with their daughter Katie.  The funeral home has been
remodeled extensively over the past years,
along with landscaping that has made the funeral home one of the most
beautiful landmarks in downtown Columbiaville.  Today our funeral home is
an area leader in providing such a variety of
		quality services,
		like funeral
luncheons, a motorcycle hearse, and an array of other personalized services
that have helped families create some of the most beautiful tributes to a
	loved one.

The town of Columbiaville is nestled on the bank of the
Holloway Reservoir which use to feed
	the citizens
of Flint there water.  Now recreational, the Holloway has
grown to be one the finest
	fishing spots in
		Lapeer County.

Early in 2004 a portion of our business was redirected towards those
families desiring a simpler and less expensive cremation service than a
traditional funeral home.  Over the past few years we have taken
our services and designed a number of packages that meet the general
desires of the public in person and through the internet.

Mid 2007 Jansen Family Funeral Home & Cremation Services
was honored to be only the third funeral home in the state of Michigan
to obtain a license through Veterans Funeral Care.
A nationally endorsed organization that provides quality funeral care to
		veterans and their family.

Now in 2008, We have introduced to our online cremation & burial services, an
affordable option for families that wish to have a traditional service
with viewing and burial, but not all of the costs associated with a
traditional funeral home.  Along with this quality service comes
our array of tribute options to personalize a loved one's funeral and
		affordable grave monuments and markers.
